Analog Prairie True North Passive Transformer Based Stereo Processor

$300.00
Limited Availability

True North is a fully passive stereo processor built around a pair of Hammond 1140-LU-B transformers.

The transformers transfer audio through magnetic coupling, providing galvanic isolation while introducing subtle level- and frequency-dependent behavior. Depending on the source, load, and operating level, this may be perceived as added texture, softened transients, and a slightly fuller tonal balance.

With no active electronics, digital processing, or external power supply, True North offers a simple way to explore transformer character on individual tracks, stereo buses, and complete mixes.

Hand-built and tested in Iowa by Analog Prairie.

Specifications:

  • Transformer Ratio 1:1

  • Impedance: 600:600 ohms

  • Inputs: 2x Balanced XLR

  • Outputs: 2x Balanced XLR
